Jungley Co

Veganism used to mean to not eat anything derived from animals – meat, fish, caviar, eggs, milk and cheeses. Since then, veganism has become a lifestyle in which individuals avoid harming animals in any aspect of life which is practical and where it’s applicable: food, fashion and beauty.

So not only has food veganism increased in England over the last few years, the vegan fashion and beauty industries have become worth billions of dollars. There is a willingness, in the UK and worldwide, particularly by the younger generations, to fight back against some pre-established concepts and for saving the planet.

Jungley Co was born from the idea that you can gift stylish, simple and tasteful vegan and cruelty free gifts by creating everything in leaf leather that normally comes in animal leather. This is how the bestselling ranges of notebooks, wallets, card holders and bamboo portable accessories was born. Since the inception of the brand, we have added lotus leaf, cork and upcycled truck rubber products to our list of products available.

Jungley Co began life as part of Treat Republic and on its very own Etsy page.

To set up the Etsy page, we began with crafting copy and SEO that would sum up the brand, the benefits of the products and sell. Very quickly, the leaf notebooks in both A4 and A5 size became popular with consumers – also due to the wide variety of colours available! Once this was done, I worked with another colleague to learn the tricks of the platform and with the help of smaller sales promotions, expanding the ethical and sustainable range to include Treat Republic’s popular wooden products the shop was able to sell out of all the samples, making over 200 sales in three months.
